Poster: Vigipirate

Regular price $80.00

Vigipirate is the French equivalent of Homeland Security, a security alert system that allows for speedy military action, increased surveillance and repression of free speech and movement. It was put into full effect following the 2015/2016 terrorist attacks in Paris, and was made clear by a red and black triangular Vigipirate logo that was posted at the entrance of every commercial or government building, along with an eerily beautiful attack evacuation procedure infographic. These two visual symbols of this regime were too tempting for Krusty Wheatfield and Sabine Teyssonneyre to ignore. They hijacked these visual elements and filtered them through occult visual codes, essentially pirating vigipirate. (Reference images below).
